Day 4 - Threats and Treasures
Soul Shrines
Mysterious monuments have begun to appear in both dungeons and exterior zones. Soul Shrines demand offerings of souls in exchange for blessings of Wealth, Knowledge, Strength, or Wisdom. Souls are collected by slaying enemies while carrying a soul extractor.
Ambushes & Reinforcements
Danger no longer comes only from what lies ahead. Enemies may ambush you while you are distracted, such as when picking locks or browsing your inventory. Dungeon bosses can also summon reinforcements, forcing players to fight through waves of foes before achieving victory.
Legendary Chests
Legendary Chests are a rare and high-stakes addition to dungeon crawling. Open them through a new rhythm-based lockpicking minigame and be rewarded with powerful loot and enchanted equipment. But beware, just a single false input and the chest is sealed forever.
Reputation System
Questing now carries lasting weight. The new system replaces older knowledge skills with a progression of reputation points that accumulate as you complete quests. Increase your rank and climb from Outcast to Legend. Higher ranks grant better prices from merchants, larger payouts from quests, and eventual access to restricted districts within the city.
